ICS organized “afternoon bowling” for “ICS members and their family” on Sunday, April 25, 2004 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Marvlanes Bowling alley in East Lansing. About 25 people participated for this event. It was fun to watch children & adults bowl together. Children performed better than adults including more “strikes” & “spares” as adults did more “bowl bowl”(chit chat and talk) than “bowl”. We encourage other members to join for these kinds of events as it gives our children some time to interact with each other and have great fun at the same time. |

ICS is coordinating a day at Michigan Adventure theme park this summer for the Youth & Children of ICS members on Saturday, July 24, 2004. As we are going to buy group tickets, we need to know the final count by Saturday, July 10, 2004. The group tickets are cheaper (2004 Group Rate is $19.00 per person). Also, this would require detailed planning and enough participation from the members, especially from the parents. We are looking into either renting a bus or coordinating a car pool to drive children to and from. As a parent, if you are interested in car pool or have children who would like to join (we are sure they would like to), please fill out the attached form and mail it with your payment to the ICS mailing address. Under the initiative of Mrs. Saroj Kapur several meetings were held recently and it has been decided to set up an organization called ‘INDIA SENIOR GROUP’. The next meeting of the interested persons will be held at the residence of Shri Madan Lalwani on Thursday the 27th of May at 4pm. This is in the formative stage and its objectives include addressing the needs amongst people of our cultural background and reducing their anxieties that grow as the age advances. We expect that the community should be able to generate the necessary response to this need.
